SketchUp 3D Challenge #168 - Pogo Sticks

Thursday, 21 February 2013 - Monday, 4 March 2013

Derived from the idea of spring stilts, the Pogo Stick became a fun toy for getting around in the 1920's. They originally had a straight handle that ran the risk causing of chin injuries and were later improved with the now familiar handlebar design. Their popularity has come and gone over the years and lately their popularity has increased with the new fledgling sport of Extreme Pogo that utilizes modern gas piston and elastomer based sticks.

For this challenge, you are free to model an existing stick design or design one from your own imagination.  Don't be afraid to experiment with your design as there is a lot of room for creativity here.

Standard Participation Rules apply. Thanks to bridger for the challenge suggestion.

SketchUp 3D Challenge #167 - Jewels for Valentine's Day

Monday, 11 February 2013 - Thursday, 21 February 2013

Before Valentine's Day, it's hard to escape the barrage of TV commercials and advertising on the web for jewelry and everything that goes with it. Jewels come in all shapes and sizes and made of precious and semi-precious stones. Most of the time they are set in precious metal settings forming all kinds of jewelry.

So, in this challenge you job is to incorporate jewels into jewelry or even loose jewels but keep in mind the theme of Valentine's Day and love.

Standard Participation Rules apply.
