  1. There will no obligation for a blog entry anymore. It is still allowed to post a link to your model or additional images, but it is not required anymore to submit a model to the challenges. The 3D Warehouse tag is still required though and should be added when uploading a model to the Warehouse.

You can use the hyperlink code creator on the frontpage of the blog to create the code for a hyperlink in your message. Copy this code and paste it in the comment box on the place where your want the hyperlink to be.

Challenge suggestions are welcome to be placed on the blog. Items will be noted and compiled on the moderator’s list. At that point, the initial comment for the suggestion may be deleted so as to maintain a streamline challenge thread for use of posting entries for the challenge and comments to models. Challenge suggestions have always been welcomed and taken under consideration.

Please refrain from using background images in your models as it is the model itself that is being judged.

You'll notice a new link on the main page that directs you to the First Place Certificate area to which winners are able to print a certificate with a picture of their model detailing their excellence. You can access the page through the main page of the blog.

    Good Luck!!!!

  3. Posted two entries. Will eliminate one by due date. Favoring Demolition Derby. (help me to decide). Oh btw @ JediCharles. I looked up the word "venue"... and it means more than one "event" Yankee Stadium has hosted Baseball, a Beatles concert and Pope John Paul' visit so its a Venue Hope it helped others.

  7. Many models are uploaded before the Challenge started. These can't participate (read rules)

    My votings are:
3 pts: Leigh Centurions stadia by SDC93: Nice model

2 pts: Colosseum-Style Football Stadium by MyTH:
One of the models that used real building style in stead of only textures

1 pts: Toyohashi Sports Stadium by szczesny: This could have been a better model if you painted everything, used more smoothing and deleted unnecessary lines

Btw, Next challenge: There too many (very) good Star Wars ship models in the warehouse. Not interesting to make another one. And about the Transformers: Does it have to be a character that exists in those movies and comics or can it also be an imaginative model? (like making a robot of a mobile phone)

  8. 3pts: Basketball Stadium by HenkieTenk - Clever

2pts: Leigh Centurions Stadium by SDC93 - Big up the textures!

1pt: Colosseum Handegg Stadium by MyTH - Close enough

Broaden your horizons. Nothing wrong with textures, guys.

  9. @ MartnLeRoy

Indeed, there's nothing wrong with textures. Especially when making Google Earth models. The description of this challenge says texture use is allowed. But in my opinion, the 3D Challenge blog is for making totally 3D models.
Btw. voting for this challenge was difficult, almost everyone made good models.

  10. not star wars ship!! there's already a SW pod racer challenge back then, and anyways you don't have the ability to make your own design. I pick bicycle because of the design possibilities.

  11. i agree with drawer guy, there are waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too many star wars models as is. the bicycle idea is best as it allows for the most freedom in terms of design and creativity.

  12. wow, the bicycle idea is suddenly winning

  13. you people must be real lame to vote for a bike... really? thats tooo simple!!!! cant we do something creative?

    ReplyDelete
  14. really? a bike? simple?....... there are so many things on a bike that are complicated to make, not in any sense of the word is it simple. for example the chain and gears, simple? i think not. or even the tread on the bike tires. if you don't put any detail in it then i suppose it would be too simple of a challenge. besides that its a lot more creative then making a spaceship from blueprints

  15. i would be more than happy making a stupid spaceship then a bike.
