SketchUp 3D Challenge #171 - Hats

Monday, 25 March 2013 - Thursday, 04 April 2013

Hat

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
A hat is a head covering. It can be worn for protection against the elements, for ceremonial or religious reasons, for safety, or as a fashion accessory. In the past, hats were an indicator of social status. In the military, they may denote nationality, branch of service, rank and/or regiment.
For this challenge you are free to model or design any kind of hat you like. Thanks to samothrace41 for the suggestion.

Standard Participation Rules apply.

Note: Due to recent concerns, a new rule has been added. Starting from challenge #169 going forward, renders will no longer be permitted as part of a participants submission. This rule is intended to enforce the idea that this is a modeling challenge where not only is the presentation is important, so is the quality of the modeling and the uniqueness of the design. Please keep this in mind when voting for the winner.

  1. Hi Jedi !

May I use "display fog" in my thumbnail ? I'm not sure to understand what you mean with "render".
    Thanks.

    1. Anything that can be done with SketchUp is fine. What I mean by renderng is using other software that creates photo-realistic images from your models like Lightwave, Kerkythea, Maxwell, etc. Inserting those types of images into the model for presentational purposes is no longer allowed.
