There are so many shared components throughout the interior that when pieced back together it might make for slow performance in SketchUp. Thanks for the suggestion.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17136348376188803041noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4986990254141180682.post-58505696088116774942010-12-02T07:34:04.945-08:002010-12-02T07:34:04.945-08:00Hey Jedi Charles!

But I followed your progress via Picasa and your site www.jedicharles.com . I downloaded the zipfile, so when I'm using SU8, I'll have a look. Tried big models too, but I got too quickly bored :D, so the Challenges are great for me.
Keep on uploading these good models!

Greetins HenkieTenk

Btw, can't you split the model in three parts? Then it's possible to upload it.HenkieTenkhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05784610068787706039noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4986990254141180682.post-34752309666673986622010-11-30T16:13:49.700-08:002010-11-30T16:13:49.700-08:00Thanks Cathy,

I suppose I could have done it in less than a quarter of the time had I focused primarily on it. I have a physical disability that prevents me from using a traditional mouse and keyboard so all of the modeling was done with a special camera based mouse that tracks my head movements and an onscreen keyboard. It is much slower to model stuff this way than with regular equipment and my specific modelling technique also takes more time. It was fun to do and I already have plans in the works for two more ships. Thanks for your comments.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17136348376188803041noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4986990254141180682.post-77912200474415101152010-11-24T07:04:09.722-08:002010-11-24T07:04:09.722-08:00I've just found out that I'm the winner, t...I've just found out that I'm the winner, thanks a lot guys !

Jedi Charles, I'm very impressed by your very detailed work on your Starship, how long did it take to make this vessel?

It's a pity it's too heavy for the 3DWarehouse.Cathy TRITSCHLERhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07009466607141003770noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4986990254141180682.post-24480595879029526492010-11-20T17:55:17.905-08:002010-11-20T17:55:17.905-08:00I was looking forward to this challenge but unfort...I was looking forward to this challenge but unfortunately my computer is broken beyond repair. I am pretty much out of commission until my new one arrives. The laptop I am using temporarily is too old to run SketchUp. Nice work on the entries guys.

Some of you may remember me mentioning the Starship project I was working on a while back. Well, I am pleased to say that it is finally done. It is too big (23MB) to upload it to the 3D Warehouse but if you would like to see it you can download it in a zip file (7.72MB zipped) through MediaFire at the link beloW:

http://www.mediafire.com/?flmskaekg1s642b

Tell me what you think. Note: It is a SketchUp 8 file so you will need to have version 8.
