another stupid challenge
ReplyDeleteIt's a real lazy challenge. O,o. May I suggest some mad tips for upcoming challenges?;
ReplyDelete1-Chimera - participants can show their skills in organic shapes
or
2-Hanging garden(s) - it is more architectural, designic. It could be everywhere in any stiles and in any size.
Nice day to all you guys!
I will try some, but not really with much enthusiasm..... not my challenge really
ReplyDeletechin up all :) i really didnt mind doing this one , able to do more than what i can do in 3d ,and yes im sure its borring to u vets here but at least you were good sports about it and did something for it :)
ReplyDeleteany way loaded my fairy for this challenge have a look and let me know what u think ,,

i can honestly say that was kind of fun =) - loaded up my keepers and since there is still plenty of time left i'm going to try one a little more difficult HAHA wish me luck

ReplyDeletePersonally I think this challenge is fine the way it is. I say this because whenever I decide to use sketchup for an arch. studio I am always struggling at the end to find decent 2d components to finish off a scene.
ReplyDeleteonly one suggestion for this challenge as well as others , we really should consider limiting the number of entries per person to like two ,
ReplyDeletedont get me wrong its cool that some of you are able to do it so fast but it also takes away from the idea of the contest ,
only thing i didnt like in this one is that more seem to be doing "cut outs " instead of making a 2d pic themselves ,
im working on a more detailed one that im hoping to be able to get done in time , if not i will still load it anyways when i do get it , think its one you will like :)
have a good day all :)
I understand the concerns regarding this challenge, as it is a little easy for al of the experienced hardened modelers among you, but I must say, making the example model was actually really much fun. This challenge is to attract the people who are new to Sketchup. So hang in there, have a little fun in 2D for a change, and make a suggestion for Challenge #104!
ReplyDeleteBy the way CK, what you you mean by 2,5D? Because as far as I know, fractions aren't possible in the math of dimensions.
I also thought that this challenge wasn't so attractive. But now, I've got bunch of ideas to play with 2D components.
ReplyDeleteI think about arrange 2D look like 3D, just an idea.
ReplyDeleteI still thinking about what I should to make.
Oh, that's OK CK. Just go ahead.
ReplyDeletePlease welcome Le Corbusier's Modulor in your silhouette 2D gallery!
ReplyDeleteEntry: SketchUpenstein 3D

1 pt to jansen -2d ppl good idea and nice work done on these
3pts. The SketchUp 2d people essentials pack by Janson - Great work and lots of it.
ReplyDelete2pts. The Keepers by mbuzzyk - Good details and use of textures though they look just as good without the textures and the flames.
1pt. Windmill Dutch Face Me 2D by HenkieTenk - I like the rotating aspect. Nice trick.
3 points - 2d collection by Jansen - I like girl on the beach :). This is lots of drawing work and painting, and you made it fine.
ReplyDelete2 points - Magic Touch by dracoscove - Nice line and texture(Front). Backside I think it a little bit plain, If you change color scheme it will more fantasy.
1 point - funny boy by GameMaster01 - Another idea for 2D people in cartoon style.
Another work in this challenge which is big different from Jedi Charles. I can't give point because I think it's too much far from the challenge topic. But it's very interesting, I recommended to download and play!
Oh, and please choose your favorite subject for next challenge from these three:
