SketchUp 3D Challenge #150 - All-Terrain Vehicles

Sunday, 12 August 2012 - Wednesday, 22 August 2012

View Entry Models | Status:   Finished

All-terrain vehicles (ATVs) can get you where you need to go and have fun while doing it. They are defined by American National Standards Institute (ANSI) as a vehicle that travels on low-pressure tires, with a seat that is straddled by the operator, along with handlebars for steering control. For the purpose of this challenge you will be modeling an ATV that fits that definition. It must have at least 3 wheels and designed to be ridden like a motorcycle.

Standard Participation Rules apply. As a reminder, the rules can be found in the menu below the header of all pages of the blog.

Thanks to GoldenSim, the winner of challenge #148, for suggesting this topic.

  7. I knew this subject wasn't likely to please a lot because it's a "no-escape" challenge, if your skills are average or if you want to feel free to model whatever you think of (and that may fit the subject, such a challenge isn't great.

    However, here comes my votes:
    3pts: 1970 HONDA ATC-90 By GoldenSim
2pts : Millrange Street Edition by Sketchmaster Tóth
1pt : British Armoured All Terrain Vehicle MK x by Send in the jagdpanther.

  15. CORRECTION: I made an unfortunate mistake in informing GoldenSim that he had won the challenge the day before the vote was closed. I had sent him an email congratulating him on the win and asking for a copy of his entry because it was no longer available for download and I needed it to create the screen captures for announcing his win. The vote was at a tie between GoldenSim and jagdpanther when the mistake was made so both would have won. An additional vote was later submitted and shifted the vote towards jagdpanther. Because GoldenSim was told he won in error, it is only fair that both modelers have been declared winners. I apologize for the mistake and thank you for your understanding.
