SketchUp 3D Challenge #255: Spiral Staircase

Challenge Period: Monday, 16 January 2017 - Sunday, 29 January 2017

Spiral staircases are not spirals in the mathematical sense, rather, they are helical in shape and designed to be very space efficient. They can be made of any variety of materials capable of supporting the weight of the staircase and those climbing them.

You can use a variety of built in tools and extensions in SketchUp to accomplish modeling of a spiral staircase but the design is completely up to you. Just be careful not to let it spiral out of control!

Standard Participation Rules apply, see Participation Manual for more information. Have ideas for future challenges? Let us know next time you submit a vote.

Reminder: Participants in challenges (those whom submit models) are required to vote when the challenge is over. This is to encourage the community aspect of the challenge by giving the other participants feedback on their work. If you don't submit a vote, your entry will be disqualified. 2. Here's my entry: A spiral staircase inspired by the Frank Gehry staircase in the Art Gallery of Onterio, Toronto, Canada.

I modeled it WITHOUT the use of extensions or plugins of any kind.
