If you read the reasons for the firetruck challenge last week, you'll probably imagine this week's challenge being about policecars, as the Dutch emergency telephone number is 112. Well, we decided to go with something completely different, really something in which you can use your imagination. Special thanks to Mbuzzyk, who gave us the idea of this subject.

Such a beautiful Challenge number really deserves a beautiful subject. So we got working, to find the best subject for this cool new Challenge. What did we come up with? A firetruck, because the number 1-1-1 is the official emergency telephone number in New Zealand. So get those brains working! The trucks need to get to the emergency ASAP!

Garden fountains; those small concrete blocks squirting water in your face. They seem strangely annoying sometimes, but can't they be very beautiful? Let's try to make eyecatching futuristic fountains that fit into an average yard, and yet be beautiful and rustic.

The winner of previous 3D Challenge #108 - Places of Worship is:

'Gothic Cathedral', by Woody. This beautiful complex model was modeled very systhematically, with a total of 73 different components used in the build; counting a massive 100,000 edges and 33,000 faces. The entire interior has been modeled as well, and I have to say, now I finally understand what architects did with the extra space above the ambulatories. Well done Woody! Looking forward to seeing more of your work!

A major event has happened the past week. We've changed the voting to an easier, sythematical approach, and hereby attracted some 30 voters! A great 180 points were given, of which 43 went to Art Deco Skyscraper by Adrian Novotny (Tesler). His greatly detailed model of a 1930s building came out beautifully in a fantastic render displayed on the detailspage. Congratulations Adrian!
