SketchUp 3D Challenge #264: Garden/Tool Shed

Challenge Period: Monday, 22 May 2017 - Sunday, 4 June 2017

Shed

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
A shed is typically a simple, single-storey roofed structure in a back garden or on an allotment that is used for storage, hobbies, or as a workshop. Sheds vary considerably in the complexity of their construction and their size, from small open-sided tin-roofed structures to large wood-framed sheds with shingled roofs, windows, and electrical outlets. Sheds used on farms or in industry can be large structures. The main types of shed construction are metal sheathing over a metal frame, plastic sheathing and frame, all-wood construction (the roof may be asphalt shingled or sheathed in tin), and vinyl-sided sheds built over a wooden frame.
For the purposes of this challenge, you may design and model a structure that fit the definition above.

SketchUp 3D Challenge #263: Armchairs

Challenge Period: Monday, 8 May 2017 - Sunday, 21 May 2017

Chair: Armrests

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
A chair may or may not have armrests; chairs with armrests are termed "armchairs". In French, a distinction is made between fauteuil and chaise, the terms for chairs with and without armrests, respectively. If present, armrests will support part of the body weight through the arms if the arms are resting on the armrests. Armrests further have the function of making entry and exit from the chair easier (but from the side it becomes more difficult). Armrests should support the forearm and not the sensitive elbow area. Hence in some chair designs, the armrest is not continuous to the chair back, but is missing in the elbow area.
For this challenge, you are to model an armchair, but not one meant for dining. You may model an existing design or one of your own and you may use any materials you choose if it is practical for human usage.
