SketchUp 3D Challenge #205 - 3D Printers

Monday, 17 March '14 - Thursday, 27 March '14

3D Printing
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
3D printing or Additive manufacturing is a process of making a three-dimensional solid object of virtually any shape from a digital model. 3D printing is achieved using an additive process, where successive layers of material are laid down in different shapes. 3D printing is also considered distinct from traditional machining techniques, which mostly rely on the removal of material by methods such as cutting or drilling (subtractive processes).
For the purposes of this challenge you may model and existing printer or design your own. Although not a requirement, you are encouraged to show the printer in the process of printing an object of your choice.

Note: Due to the release of the new 3D Warehouse on Trimble's servers, I am asking that participants to help me and voters identify their models by putting their name in the title of their model.

For example: If your name in the 3D Warehouse is "JediCharles" and you want to name your model "Amazing 3D Printer", then prefix the name of your model like this "JediCharles: Amazing 3D Printer".

Standard Participation Rules apply. Thanks to AbsurdAesthetic for suggesting the topic of this challenge. Have a suggestion for an upcoming topic? Submit one with your next vote.
