  1. General Notes:

There will no obligation for a blog entry anymore. It is still allowed to post a link to your model or additional images, but it is not required anymore to submit a model to the challenges. The 3D Warehouse tag is still required though and should be added when uploading a model to the Warehouse.

You can use the hyperlink code creator on the frontpage of the blog to create the code for a hyperlink in your message. Copy this code and paste it in the comment box on the place where your want the hyperlink to be.

Challenge suggestions are welcome to be placed on the blog. Items will be noted and compiled on the moderator’s list. At that point, the initial comment for the suggestion may be deleted so as to maintain a streamline challenge thread for use of posting entries for the challenge and comments to models. Challenge suggestions have always been welcomed and taken under consideration.

Please refrain from using background images in your models as it is the model itself that is being judged.

You'll notice a new link on the main page that directs you to the First Place Certificate area to which winners are able to print a certificate with a picture of their model detailing their excellence. You can access the page through the main page of the blog.

    Good Luck!!!!

    add – “SketchUp 3D Challenge website-http://sketchup3dchallenge.blogspot.com/”
at the bottom of model info.

  19. I've made another building but now re-reading the challenge title "Skyscraper", I wonder if it could be accepted, could you tell me ?

    Utopia Building

It's about 76.8 meters high. by the way, my last tower was 296.8 meters high (278.7 living space)and 92000m².

  20. Hi Moboille,

I don’t know exactly, but the lower limit of a skyscraper is 150 meters (500 ft) & also 80 meters (262 feet). Your building looks good, can you add some spire or antenna. Just to mach the word ‘Skyscraper’.

    Let’s consider
lower limit of Skyscraper = 80Meters

    ReplyDelete
  21. Thanks you to allow it Rahul, then I've added a little thing in order to make it be higher, so now it's 99 meters (i.e 324 ft) .

    The model here.

    And still the renders there.

  22. A few other challenge suggestion
    desalination plant
    future object
    cargo crane
    container ship

  23. I've got another challenge suggestion:
    model something from NASA

    ReplyDelete
  24. "it can be currently built, under-construction, future planed or your own concept design. "

I don't suppose you mean 'future planned'?

    My suggestion: scifi spaceship.

  25. I love skyscrapers! i'm working on my 3rd entry

    ReplyDelete
  26. finished my 3rd entry, called 'The stack' and the pictures here

however it looks, it's taller than 80 meters! download and see

    ReplyDelete
  27. i like the idea of a nasa challenge, but i think a space challenge would allow for more creativity. probably have to pick a subject like space ship, space station, moon base or something.

    ReplyDelete
  28. How about just simply a 'space challenge'. You could put space-ships, rockets, space stations, colonies etc. There could be a very wide variety of objects........

  56. Just to make it clear, a rifle is a shoulder weapon with the barrel being "rifled" a term that means there are grooves inside the barrel to make the bullet spin, the reason i mention this is because i always hate when people say "no its not a rifle it has a scope so its a sniper"

anyways... good luck to all you rifle makers!

    Mr.jumpman V.3

  57. Here are my late votes :

Three points for "Ourobus Tower" by CloudedZero, uncanny I really like this shape. It was hard to choice between this one and the folowing though.

Two point for "Skyscraper" by HenkieTenk which is impressive and surrealist :)

A point for "Scraping the sky" by A.J.unknow, fine structure and modelling, I hesitated for the place again.

That means there were an amount of great models into this challenge. Waiting for a next one after the rifle :)
