SketchUp 3D Challenge #207 - Aircraft Hangar

Monday, 14 April '14 - Thursday, 24 April '14

Hangar
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
A hangar is a closed structure to hold aircraft or spacecraft in protective storage. Most hangars are built of metal, but other materials such as wood and concrete are also used. The word hangar comes from Middle French hanghart ("enclosure near a house"), of Germanic origin, from Frankish *haimgard ("home-enclosure", "fence around a group of houses"), from *haim ("home, village, hamlet") + gard ("yard").
Hangars are used for: protection from the weather, protection from direct sunlight, maintenance, repair, manufacture, assembly and storage of aircraft on airfields, aircraft carriers and ships.
For this challenge: You are free to design your hangar for any type of aircraft you choose, These structures can be very simple in design so it is your job to make your hangar stand out from the rest.

Note: Due to the release of the new 3D Warehouse on Trimble's servers, I am asking that participants to help me and voters identify their models by putting their name in the title of their model.

For example: If your name in the 3D Warehouse is "JediCharles" and you want to name your model "Millitary Aircraft Hangar", then prefix the name of your model like this "JediCharles: Millitary Aircraft Hangar".

Standard Participation Rules apply. Thanks to Ghost for suggesting the topic of this challenge. Have a suggestion for an upcoming topic? Submit one with your next vote.
