For this challenge you are to model a Tree Home. This is different from Challenge #147 - Tree House because this time around the structure must be designed as a permanent residence with all of the modern amenities you would expect in today's modern home. Again, the structure must be fully supported by at least one living tree. Because of the scope of the challenge, you will be given an additional 4 days to complete your tree home.

ReplyDeleteI take it you have SU7 Pro. I would hate to see you go. I was looking forward to seeing your entry. The issue is actually with Google turning off their redirects. There is, however, a simple work around if you would be willing to try. Once you finish your model in SU7 Pro, open it in SketchUp Make 2015 and upload it to the 3D Warehouse through that version.
Deleteyeah , could be a option , but i would have to keep all original versions on my Pc or i will be stuck having to download it in newer version from the warehouse , with i cant open with the v7 ..maybe ill do it on some challenges, but there is also allot going on in my life right now .. thanks for everything !

DeleteI did some playing around and I found that you can save any SketchUp file to a previous software version in the "Save as" dialog through the drop down menu below where you name the file. Again, it's another few steps, but if you download one of your models in the 2015 format, you can first open it in SketchUp 2015 and then save it as the SketchUp 7 format.
oh ! good to know , but cant do this by saving to a new version , i have to coppy the whole model and past it into the newer version , kind of a pain ... but i might do it for some challenges
ReplyDeleteI've competed once before (I've lost my login details for that, sorry) and I'm looking to get into competing again. This one is a toughy for me. My trees look alive, but pared down to the lowest detail I can do, it's still 60k+ for the essential trees... :( This is going to be difficult to make the trees look like they're not dead, but keep the polycount reasonably low.
