3D Challenge #029 - Salt and pepper shakers

Note: Please read the guidelines for participating in the challenge. The purpose of the challenge is to have fun and bring SketchUp users together and help each other learn and get better at using our favorite 3d modeling program. We will remove comments that are objectionable or offensive.

This week's challenge:

Salt and pepper shakers

For this challenge we are going to model something small that can be found on almost every restaurant table, the salt and pepper shakers. The shakers on those tables are often the standard versions, but salt and pepper shakers are available in many different themes. From highly minimalistic designs to a perfect replica of your favorite cartoon character and everything in between. As the object for this challenge is quite small we expect a high level of detail. Try to make every part of the shaker as the real thing would look like, a simple cilinder is to easy of course. As everybody can imagine the properties that makes a shaker a shaker, there are no limitations for this challenge. Be creative and show us the shaker you would put on your table...

Good luck ALL!

General note: From this challenge and in the future, there will no obligation for a blog entry anymore. It is still allowed to post a link to your model or additional images, but it is not required anymore to submit a model to the challenges. But do remember, posting and commenting helps build the sense of a community and sharing of ideas. The 3D Warehouse tag is still required though and should be added when uploading a model to the Warehouse.

  2. @ mod team:

I know that you are doing this on voluntary basis and rest ensured that we are all appreciating your effort. The idea I have it's not actually helping you to reduce the time you spend on this, but I think it will make the voting more interesting.
So, ? what if every player will be allowed to vote 3 models and then the 1st option will be scored with 5 point, 2nd (3 points) and 3rd (1 point)... then the average will gave you the winner!
I'am suggesting this because sometimes is not easy to choose just 1 model

    Thanks D'Alex"D
